The organized tourism started in Podgora in 1922,
when the first hotel "Praha" was built. Podgora was a small fisherman's
village until the beginning of the 1960s. After the construction of the
Adriatic main road it developed into a modern tourist resort
with more than 2000 beds in hotels and about 3600 beds in private
accommodation. You can spend your holiday during the whole year,
because the climate is mild, and the sea is pleasant for swimming from
May until October. Here the nature and the sea will never say "good
bye" to you - but always "see you again"! Many restaurants, pizzerias
and other gastronomical objects will serve you quality national and
international dishes and drinks. For the active holiday we have
prepared multi- purpose sport grounds: for tennis, volleyball,
basketball, bowling. On the sea we are offering skiing, surfing,
diving, navigate with ships or sport boats.
Its rarely
beautiful landscape, the azure sky and the limpid sea make Podgora the
peerless beauty spot of the Adriatic. The national park Biokovo offers
possibilities for mountain biking, hiking and climbing. A beautiful

Podgora one of the favourite tourist destinations. Recreation
enthusiasts are offered four tennis courts, as well as various
playgrounds for indoor football, basketball and beach volleyball.

ancient pirate town of Omis, Dubrovnik, Split or the Krka waterfalls,
